Senior IACUC Administrator

Creighton University in Omaha, NE is seeking to hire a Senior Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) Administrator. 

Administers and implements daily operating procedures and policies associated with the review of all IACUC submission in accordance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements/guidelines related to the protection of Animal Use in Research and research integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze protocol submissions to determine review level and regulatory compliance.
• Manage and oversee the IACUC review process, including tracking metrics, preparing reports, and maintaining investigator communications.
• Conduct administrative and technical reviews of protocols for completeness and compliance.
• Serve as primary contact for investigators, providing system training, SOP/guideline development, and policy recommendations.
• Assist investigators with protocol revisions and preparation of Animal Use Policies.
• Support IACUC operations by scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and drafting meeting minutes.
• Coordinate and participate in semi-annual inspections, program reviews, and regulatory audits (USDA, AAALAC).
• Serve as a regulatory resource for investigators and staff; manage confidential compliance documentation.
• Support training programs and post-approval monitoring activities, ensuring documentation, follow-up, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelorâ??s degree or Certified Professional IACUC Administratorsâ?? certification (CPIA).
• 4+ yearsâ?? related experience in animal use research and/or animal research administration.
• Experience in using electronic protocol management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
